This is episode 100, and today's episode is going to be very brief and different, because all I want to say is thank you so much from the bottom of my heart for making the Power Transformation podcast one of the most popular podcasts out there, where we rank globally in the top 5%, and the ranking is getting higher with each passing day, and it is because of listeners and followers like you who are making a difference, as well as the amazing guests that I have had. If you are new to this podcast, I am Alethea Felton and I am more than a podcaster, but what I am is someone who is all about resilience, all about overcoming adversity and overcoming challenges and obstacles, based on my own story and my life and what God has allowed me to accomplish over the years, from my own personal challenges and experiences, and this marks episode 100. And for those of you who don't even really know a lot about the backstory, in my early episode I do talk about what led to this podcast and that's in my story, which I believe is episode one. But my former business coach and a mentor and longtime friend, john Nero he was the one who said Alethea, I think you ought to start a podcast and I'll be honest, I hadn't even listened to podcasts then and he told me this idea at the beginning of 2022. And I said, john, I don't even listen to podcasts. And y'all, john had his own podcast and I didn't even listen to his at the time. Now I do, but at the time I didn't, and I do listen to his when I can. But my point is he said your posts on social media, who you are, what you bring to the table and to everybody around you, I really think people would really enjoy having you as a podcaster and as a host. I sat on the idea y'all for nearly a year and then I decided to birth the Power Transformation podcast. I couldn't let it rest, I couldn't just settle in it, but I had to do it and I am so very, very, very glad that I did.
Alethea Felton:The podcast has evolved into so much more than I could ever imagine. It started off with me wanting to show you how to use holistic health principles and incorporating that into your everyday life, because we all have power within us to really make substantial change in our lives. However, as I continue interviewing people and guests, I had some solo episodes like this one here, but as I continued interviewing my guests, who came from all walks of life, came from diverse backgrounds, had different experiences. I noticed a common thread, and that thread was that they all had some type of story of transformation and empowerment from having gone through, or were still going through, a challenging time in their life. And yet they did not use that challenge as a way to simply throw in the towel and give up, but rather they use that challenge as the fuel to catapult them to the next level of their life. And then I started thinking about the title the Power Transformation Podcast.
Alethea Felton:Now, sometimes people say power of transformation. No, I was intentional about the Power Transformation Podcast, because we are transforming by that power within us. See, the transformation is already inside, but it is that internal power that you have, that I have, that every human being that exists or has existed have. However, not everybody realizes that potential in them and, sadly, a lot of people never bring it out. That's where I come into play. I am here to challenge you to rethink your situation. No matter how difficult it may be, you too can change your life beyond what you could imagine, and you can rise like a phoenix from the ashes and create a life that you absolutely love. I have gone through my share of heartache, I have gone through my share of grief, I have gone through my share of health challenges and at one point in my life I even considered ending it all, but yet I knew that my story was not finished. And so, therefore, that bounce back ability, that resilience to really be everything that I am intended to be, came out and was birthed, and I was intentional about launching the podcast December 7th of 2022, because that would have been the birthday of my late godmother, who was also one of my cousins, sandra.
Alethea Felton:Sandra was the epitome of resilience, lived in the era of Jim Crow Crow, segregation, and also lived with cerebral palsy. She was handicapped her entire life. Some people don't like that term, so I don't say that to be disparaging, and I will even use the word crippled, because that's the word she used, and again, I don't mean to use that in a negative sense, but I'm trying to illustrate this for you is that Sandra could rarely, barely, rather, use her legs, but she used her arms very often to navigate, to get her to where she needed to be. She spoke with slurred speech, yet her intellect was never affected, and Sandra sadly passed away during the pandemic, but I will never forget one of the last conversations I had with her on FaceTime. She contracted the virus through a healthcare worker in her senior facility and she just couldn't beat it. But before she transitioned, a few months prior, we had that last conversation and in that conversation this was long before my podcast even came into existence, but Sandra looked at me and she told me how much of an incredible life I would have and that it was based on me to make that happen. And although I had accomplished so much by then, sandra, this woman her entire life, who was not even expected to live till the age of 21, surpassed that and she passed away at 78 years, young, having lived a full, vibrant life, and she truly died, having poured out of herself of instilling so much wisdom and joy into everyone. And she was a key, key, key piece of the power transformation being born, and if she were alive today, she definitely would have been one of my guests.
Alethea Felton:So, in closing, I challenge each of you with this Look inside of yourself. No-transcript, that accomplishment that you want to achieve, but you don't know how. I am telling you that it is still possible. There were many a nights when I sat in a hospital bed literally on the brink of death, not knowing if I was coming or going. But yet that deep down inside part of me said, uh-uh. My story is not over. To this day, I still live with certain medical conditions not contagious I can't spread them or anything like that but certain conditions with my organs that, on paper, I should not look the way I look, I should not feel as good as I feel so much that goes against the odds. But yet I am here and I'm thriving, and it is because I am telling you for a fact that you can overcome your obstacles. Feel what you have to feel, lean into whatever it is. If you want to be mad about your circumstance, be mad. If you want to be sad about it, be sad. But after that, honey, you got to brush yourself off and get back up, because there's work to do and I challenge each of you to tap inside of yourself and to pull out what you were already created with in making a difference in not only your life but in the lives of others.
Alethea Felton:It starts with how you think, and that is why the Power Transformation Podcast begins with affirmations, because we speak those things into existence. We speak those things as if they are so. On the days when you don't feel well, okay, you might acknowledge it, but you say I am whole and healthy. On the days you might not feel your best and men, you say this too I am beautiful, I look good. On the days when maybe your money's a little funny, say, oh, I am grateful for the overflow of financial abundance, even if it hasn't happened. Say it Because the more you say it, the more it becomes, and that is just the beginning of you having a power transformation. It's already inside of you. So I thank you for this 100th episode and we have plenty more to come and we will rank eventually in the top 2% and the top 1%, because the Power Transformation Podcast will be a household name and a global movement and it is because of you that is able to happen.
Alethea Felton:Share this with people that you know at least five I know that you know five people and encourage them to be a part of this movement of following. Go ahead and give it that rating, a five star preferably and write a review, because the more you do it, the more traction it builds so that people can change their lives. So many people are hurting. So many people want more, and it doesn't matter if 10 people listen to this or 10,000. The people who need to hear it will.
Alethea Felton:Whether it's on this 100th episode, launch date, or if it's down the road a bit, you are right where you're supposed to be and I thank you for being a part of this journey. Thank you for being a part of the Power Transformation Movement and Family.
